The Drug Free Ambassadors were at the Glebe Fair Sunday and contacted thousands about living a drug free life and helping others.
A dozen anti-drug volunteers from all walks of life and nationalities "swore-in" over 300 Ambassadors of the drug-free message and gave out Truth about Drugs booklets to all people interested.
People were reaching for answers including youth workers, a women's refuge worker, government officials, parents, teens and so forth. One youth worker had a seminar on drugs coming up and took 20 booklets. Others took sets of booklets for their community or service. Local youth in Glebe wanted to help volunteer. The response was just incredible and very positive and encouraging.
The Truth about Drugs campaign is a series of 10 booklets on the most commonly abused drugs and gives straight facts, in a youth friendly format. It's popular with everybody who sees them.
The Drug Free Ambassadors is a tax exempt charity originally started by the Church of Scientology and is independently incorporated as Drug Free Ambassadors Australia.
