The Samoa Observer reports:
The Scientology Volunteer Ministers South Pacific Goodwill tour is continuing its programme in Samoa.
Following programmes in the Vaimauga district, the team has moved to Aleipata to help the community there.
During the past week, the team has been helping villagers deal with issues such as education, drug addiction, relationship troubles, family problems, violence and abuse.
Seminars and training were conducted at Lalomanu Hospital, Ulutogia Primary School, Satitoa Primary School for village councils and the general community of Aleipata.
Already the Scientology technology is being used by locals to benefit the patients, schools and the community, said Director of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers South Pacific Goodwill Tour, Mathew Andrews.
Villagers have been extremely receptive towards the programme.
"Thanks so much for the program. It's accepted with joy and happiness," said one villager.
"Bless your future plans before you leave Samoa for your next country. Thanks.
"I really understand my problem now is because of a misunderstanding between two people.
If two people can communicate and have a good relationship then all the things will run smoothly. Thank you."
Another villager said:
"Thank you so much for this good program that was running in our village.
I am very thankful and proud of the great help given to me to handle the problems that happen in real life. Such as solutions for problems, for example, arguments between two people and ways to raise and look after children as well as education.
You are received and accepted with great thanks. Bless the programme. Thanks."
Mr Mathews said they feel privileged to be given the opportunity to meet such great people.
"To see so many people handle problems that have been plaguing them and causing worry and upset is the best thing for me, being a Scientology Volunteer," he said.
"The word Scientology means "the study of knowledge" or the "study of truth." The knowledge we pass on comes from the investigation and research done by Mr. L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology.
"You can learn and use the simple but effective techniques to immediately improve your life. It's very practical and workable. But you are left to judge this for yourself.
The best advice I can give is have a look and see for yourself for only then will you know. Always remember that, no matter the problem, "Something can be done about it."
